WESTMORELAND COALITION ON HOUSING RECEIVES GRANT

Greensburg, PA -- The Westmoreland Coalition on Housing received a grant of $2,000 from the Now and Forever Fund of The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County.

The Westmoreland Coalition on Housing is an association that serves the citizens of Westmoreland County. Its mission is to identify and focus community attention and resources on the housing needs in Westmoreland County in an effort to enhance the County’s ability to address unmet needs.

Funds were provided to the Coalition to assist in the facilitation of quarterly meetings, along with special programs. These meetings will allow coalition members to come together to discuss housing issues.

Since its inception, The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County has made in excess of $7 million in grants to local charitable organizations. It currently administers over 230 component funds and $13.4 million in assets. The mission of The Community Foundation is to encourage local residents to become philanthropists, provide grants that support a wide variety of charitable organizations and serve as a community leader.
