Foster families are a vital resource for children who must be temporarily removed from their homes. Adelphoi Village's foster care program provides these children with a stable, structured environment, ensuring their physical and emotional safety while they are away from their families.
Youth typically stay in the foster care program for a period of six to nine months, although some youths’needs may include permanency planning, necessitating a longer stay until adoption occurs.
A wide variety of special needs are served, including youth with social/emotional problems, delinquent behavior, substance abuse, sexual issues, histories of physical, emotional or sexual abuse, sibling groups, infants, pregnant teens, and teen mothers.
Our foster parents work as part of a treatment team where permanency and treatment plans are developed for youth in conjunction with the courts, the natural family, and Adelphoi Village. Through ongoing training and support, Adelphoi Village staff provide foster parents with the tools necessary to deal with situations they may encounter along the way.
Adelphoi Village offers specialized foster care services including traditional Foster Care, Intensive Foster Care, Pregnant and Parenting, Respite/Shelter, and Independent Living.
