The Partial Hospitalization Program offers mental health treatment and educational services for up to 40 children and adolescents. The program addresses the needs of children and adolescents experiencing severe disruptions in daily functioning associated with psychiatric disorders, but who are not showing the level of acuity that would necessitate inpatient treatment.
The program is designed to treat students in a structured, intensive short-term mental health treatment format. An interdisciplinary team approach utilizes the input of the student, family, community resources, home school district, education and mental health staff to determine the best plan of action for each child. Planned treatment programs, which are therapeutically based in emotional, social, behavioral, recreational and vocational activities, are offered a minimum of three hours per day, along with complementary educational services.
