Secure Treatment Facilities are designed to serve adjudicated delinquent youth who have committed serious or chronic offenses, are aggressive runaway risks, or display other serious delinquent behaviors. Youth committed to this program have usually had prior contact with the court system and may have had several prior placements. They are most often lacking the internal controls necessary to cope in an open setting, thus requiring a secure environment.
Youth receive educational services on-site through Dr. Robert Ketterer Charter School. Step-down into a less secure placement within Adelphoi Village is available as appropriate.
